One of the common ways to identify and represent itself, especially in contemporary times, is cultural consumption. People in cultural consumption, They use a variety of valuable goods and symbols, not because of their material value, but because of their cultural value and in order to create the desired images of their own in the minds of others. The current research is in the same direction, the Sociological survey on the of using mobile social networks and its impact on the amount of reading of paper textbooks, (Book, magazine, newspaper) Among the employees of the municipality of Tehran. The research was carried out using a survey method and using a questionnaire technique. The statistical population of the study was all adults aged 20 to 50 years in the municipality of Tehran. The sample size was 370 people based on Cochran formula and data were collected using random sampling method.the findings of this study show that there is a significant negative and inverse relationship between the amount of use telegrams and the Instagram, and the amount of reading of the paper texts and the study style. There is also a significant relationship between the history of using virtual social networks and the amount of reading of paper texts. However, there is not a significant relationship between the type of use of virtual social networks and the amount of reading of paper texts and the study style.
