The purpose of this paper is to show the gap between the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Organization strategy for imaginization of life style in the programs (mixed programs) and the Organization performance in production and broadcasting the programs by a complete classification of the dimensions of Iranian family lifestyle.
This paper has studied the mixed program" Back Home" using discourse analysis method and also the program producers were interviewed for further validation of the research. The theoretical basis of the research is discourse analysis theory and representation and has achieved its goal by reviewing documents and observing the mixed program.
The findings of the paper show there is a gap between the Organization strategies and production and conducting of the mixed program in terms of lifestyle. Also, there is a distance between the views of top, middle and operation managers of the mixed program. This paper tries to narrow the gap by raising Iranian family lifestyle.
It is expected this paper will help the production of right contents in the national media through finding ways for more ideas in the field of correct imaginization of Iranian family lifestyle in the television and also by operationalizing the Organization's strategies.
