Translation is seen a tool which connects different cultures and translators play an important role in acquiring a coorect knowledge of a country's culture and literature. In fact, translation bridges the gap between different nations and cutures. Upon collecting the data concerning the books translated from Turkish into Persian, how well these two nation know each other and the role of translation in this process are investigated. The results showed that literary books are mostly translated and Persian literature is tended to be conservative. It is also proved that other famous authors are unknown to Iranians and this is the task of the translators to make these authors known.
