Paying attention to the concept of lifestyle has been as a result of social science turn towards culture and essential cultural needs in recent decades. This study aims at reviewing the people’s lifestyle in this province through investigating the essential material needs as well as essential cultural needs in terms of three indicators, that is, education, leisure and recreation, and security with focus on the type of media consumption in each indicator. In this research, we study the mutual relationship between essential material and cultural needs and the type of media consumption the people use to provide essential cultural needs, as the independent and effective indicator for improving essential material needs. Here, we take notice of the relationship between lifestyle and media consumption through investigating essential cultural needs such as education, leisure, and security by means of the technique of interviewing experts and with the purpose of improving the status of these indicators in Sistan and Baluchestan.
