Abstract
Objective: The effectiveness of news on society has featured the significance of discussing the rules in the field of information casting and determining limitations of this field. The objective of this article is to examine the limitations of information casting in the field of communications.
Methods: Using a descriptive-analytical method, the limitations of information and news casting, such as truth or falsehood, the diffusion of promiscuity, falsification of news, oppression and injustice, etc., are assessed in order to examine and investigate the rulings related to the laws of information casting in the media in an interdisciplinary manner.
Results: Undoubtedly, the media and information casting tools play an important role for the people’s state of awareness in a society, and the set of regulations for a society in regard to meet with the issue of news and various information casting must be regulated in accordance with the edicts of media. The objective of “Media Jurisprudence” is to create a framework and set of edicts for the media based on Imamiyyah jurisprudence. A jurisprudential view to the functions of the media creates an outlook for emergence of more ideologies in this field of study.
Conclusion: The conclusions of this research indicate that there are meaningful connections between fields of jurisprudence, media, and communications in terms of scope, goals, and function, and the main principle in information casting is its non-exclusiveness as long as it does not cause disruption, insecurity, or endanger the interests of the Islamic society, and it shall be considered as publishable only when the accuracy of the news is assured. Therefore, observing the regulations and restrictions may prevent irreparable moral and legal damages.
