Objective: Artificial intelligence, as a novel and complex technology of the contemporary world, is moving toward dominating all areas of modern human life. Consequently, one of the most essential approaches to this technology is the protection of human rights and humanity. One of the fundamental legal issues in the field of artificial intelligence is attention to the serious question of the legislative approach and the status of the legal order.
Method: This research employs a descriptive-analytical method and library-based tools.
Results: The present research demonstrates that we should not neglect the necessity of an international legal order in the field of artificial intelligence. Nor should we, in line with localization and reliance on the national legal order, ignore such a key opportunity and important necessity by considering only the national and domestic legal order. Rather, we should move from an insular perspective toward an integrated approach at the international level. Ultimately, the necessity of protecting human rights reinforces this imperative. Creating an international legal order entails challenges, and this research addresses the most important of them.
Conclusions: The findings of this study indicate that the accelerated advancement of artificial intelligence has challenged the requirements of human rights, rendering it necessary to formulate regulations within the framework of the international legal system to address its risks and challenges.
