Abstract
The present study aims to recognition of religious instructions in children’scinema after the Islamic revolution . The aim of this study is to investigate whether the children’s cinema gives value to the religious instructions or not.
In this study, children's movies after the Islamic Revolution (the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and the 90’s) have been considered as the statistical population . The method used in this study is the analytical method of content analysis with categorization-evaluation technique.
After conducting the research, it was found that we can generally conclude that religious instructions have not been regarded in children's movies after the revolution, and there is lack of religious instructions in the content of the most of the children’s movies.
Despite the significant increase of religious instructions in children’s movies of the 90’s compared to those of 80’s,which is provided through in-depth investigation of the movies using the techniques of urban space and the dominant culture (Islamic), taking advantage of the functions of the media and education, moderation in sad and joyful scenes, attractiveness and clarity of the message, lowering the role of music, highlighting the role of affection and friendship, and the use of slang, it can be seen that the lack of some religious instructions in children's movies is apparent.
